Our Story

Dodd Home Furnishings was started in Winfield by Mack Dodd whose son (Bud Dodd) joined him after many years in the US Navy and after many years in the Winfield location moved to the present location in Gu-win Al. The present store burned in December 1978 but was quickly rebuilt and today sits in the same location. Bud's son joined him in 1980 as a part time worker while attending Winfield City High School and later joined him full time after completing a course of air conditioning and refrigeration at the trade school in Hamilton Al. Bud retired in 1990 and sold the business to his son Dale and his wife Vikki who currently run it today. Many things have changed over the years, but one thing remains the same — and that's customer service.

The Dodd family is proud to be actively involved in the local community helping with many projects and groups in the area. We know keeping it local is important to you, and it's important to us, too.
